Conker 1.4.7 & Def Jam 0.4.4 Release Notes

Published Oct 29, 2026 · 2 min

Two releases added to the catalog on October 29

The October 29, 2026 check found two releases newer than Recompedia's October 28 listings: Conker BFD Reloaded v1.4.7 and Def Jam Vendetta Recomp v0.4.4. Both were published upstream on October 28 UTC. Their publication dates and this article's check date are separate; these are new release entries in our catalog, not claims that the projects first became playable today.

The details below come from the projects' own GitHub release notes, verified through the GitHub API. Conker remains Playable and Def Jam remains In Progress. We have not independently tested these builds on hardware.

Conker: controls, menus and an experimental Linux fix

Conker BFD Reloaded v1.4.7 was published on October 28 at 11:28 UTC. The launcher and settings adopt the game's steel-ring button styling, and Ledge Grab gains a B-button action to let go. The notes also report fixes for slow walking stuttering on the barn's straw, an untinted strip at the left edge of the Haybot's red view, and the button layout for raphnet N64 adapters.

The release addresses a freeze and crash when closing the Linux build, reported since v1.4.6. This needs a clear qualification: the maintainer says the Linux exit fix and raphnet layout were not tested on the relevant physical hardware. Linux remains experimental; the notes explicitly say there has not been testing on a real Linux PC or Steam Deck.

The Linux package requires glibc 2.35 or newer, Vulkan, SDL2, GTK 3 and FreeType. Windows also has a downloadable build. Players must provide their own US ROM; existing saves and settings carry over. Photo Mode and several other enhancements retain the limitations listed in the release notes.

Def Jam Vendetta: a focused audio correction

Def Jam Vendetta Recomp v0.4.4 was published on October 28 at 09:57 UTC. Its release notes describe removing faint audio clicks that occurred several times a second in menus, movies and matches. The maintainer credits a player's recording for identifying the problem.

The documented update route is the game's startup Update prompt or the settings program's Play page, preserving saves and settings. Mod support is still being worked on for a future update; v0.4.4 does not announce its availability. This is an audio fix, not evidence of a new completion milestone or Android support.

What has not changed since yesterday's report

The latest releases for ICO, Chibi-Robo! and Perfect Dark Android remain v0.9.3, v0.1.1 and v1.3 respectively. Those versions were covered in the October 28 article and are not repeated here as new releases. New source commits alone do not establish a new downloadable build or a tested gameplay improvement.

Gran Turismo 4's published objdiff report still rounds to 89.0% matched code. The refreshed observation date is not a percentage increase or a gameplay-completion score. Android candidate research did not result in a new listing in this update; the existing Android catalog continues to group multiple projects under their original game.
