ICO, Chibi-Robo & Perfect Dark Updates

An update check, not a hardware test
Checked October 28, 2026, using project repositories, release notes and a published progress report. ICO and Chibi-Robo! have newer releases than our previous listings. Perfect Dark gains an Android project on its existing game page. The dates below distinguish upstream publication from today’s catalog update; none of these checks involved playing the games on physical hardware.
ICO v0.9.3: a narrowly targeted Linux graphics fix
Published October 27, v0.9.3 addresses striped Vulkan output on Radeon RX 7000 cards with Linux Mesa 25. The notes trace it to stale blending state and add a startup drawing check with a slower fallback. OpenGL was unaffected; Mesa 26.2.4 and later already rendered correctly.
The maintainer did not have a physical RX 7000 card: verification used software-driver drawing tests. This is not evidence of improved Android performance. We also corrected our game page’s outdated PAL-only instructions: the README lists five retail discs plus an August preview and June magazine demo.
Chibi-Robo! v0.1.1 remains in progress
The October 24 release improves freeze reporting and exit handling, fixes US-version Direct3D 11 rendering and adds clearer game-file errors. The installer accepts uncompressed US GGTE01 and PAL GGTP01 ISO/GCM images from your own discs.
Zero startup crashes in 2,400 automated launches does not prove the intermittent fault fixed, according to the notes. A player-specific crash remains unexplained. Full playthroughs, Windows 10, clean installations and other graphics hardware are not verified. The static recompilation remains In Progress.
Perfect Dark: a newly listed Android source port
Perfect Dark Android v1.3 was published October 26 and fixes touch controls overriding a controller’s right-stick aiming. This is a port of reconstructed source through the existing PC port, not a new static recompilation. Its APK and Android-specific menus and gameplay documentation meet our inclusion threshold. We retain an In Progress status rather than infer a verified Android full playthrough from inherited desktop claims.
The Android guide requires Android 7.0+, ARM64 or ARM32, and OpenGL ES 2.0+; the inherited desktop README instead says ES 3.0+. Supply your own US v1.1 ROM when prompted. Compatible data mods can be imported, but mods requiring another executable or netplay branch are excluded. Mod smoke tests do not establish physical-device performance.
Progress measurements and the scope of this update
Gran Turismo 4’s published objdiff report still rounds to 89.0% matched code. Its observation date is refreshed; this is not an increase or a measure of how much gameplay works. CI-only reports were skipped by the existing sync because no GitHub token was supplied.
We also researched the desktop Perfect Dark port, 2 Ship 2 Harkinian and Waterdish’s zelda3 Android port against their repositories and releases. They are candidates for later editorial work; this update adds only the Android project for an already covered game. Repository activity, release availability and full-game completion remain separate facts.
Recompedia does not host or link to ROMs, BIOS files or game assets. Every project listed requires a copy of the original game owned by the player.
