8 Android Game Ports Added: What You Need

Eight game rows, seven repositories
Recompedia has added eight Android game listings from seven project repositories, checked against their own READMEs, GitHub release APIs and default-branch commit dates on October 27, 2026. Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask gain additional project rows while keeping their existing primary ports. Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Mania and Tomb Raider receive new game pages.
The repository count is lower because RSDKv4 supports both Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. These additions compile reconstructed source code or reimplement an engine; none is being presented as a new static recompilation. A published package establishes a release, not a promise that every modern phone has been tested.
Mario builds from source; Zelda supplies APKs
VDavid003/sm64-port-android-base documents an SDL2 and OpenGL ES 2.0 Android build with working touch controls, audio, saves and controller play. Supply your own US ROM at app/jni/src/baserom.us.z64, build the native code and assemble the APK with Gradle. There is no published release, and building directly on Android is documented as incomplete. Its last default-branch commit is from July 2021.
Waterdish/Shipwright-Android publishes soh.apk in v9.0.2P2; Waterdish/2ship2harkinian-Android publishes 2s2h.apk in v1.1.2P1. Both require OpenGL ES 3.0 and describe Android 7 support as probably supported, with maintainer testing on Android 15. Each needs a compatible ROM that you own; their Android READMEs do not establish an exact region/revision list.
Keep MSAA at 1. The Majora port documents near-wall clipping, black Picto Box images and a broken orientation lock. Shipwright documents controller mapping and reconnection limitations. These are source ports with their own behavior, separate from the Zelda64Recompiled static recompilation.
Sonic needs the right generation of assets
RSDKModding/RSDKv4-Decompilation 1.3.3 supplies v4-android.zip for Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. It reconstructs the Retro Engine used by the 2013 remasters and needs those assets or supported Origins datapacks. Genesis ROMs will not work. Its release notes fix mobile input and Origins data crashes but warn that ultrawide issues can remain without decompiled scripts.
RSDKModding/RSDKv3-Decompilation 1.3.3 supplies v3-android.zip for Sonic CD (2011). It does not take a Sega CD disc image. Only FMVs from the original Steam release work; the README explicitly excludes mobile and Origins videos even when their gameplay datapacks are usable.
RSDKModding/Sonic-Mania-Decompilation v1.1.1 has desktop release archives, so Android means a source build. Clone recursively and use RSDKModding/RSDKv5-Decompilation's dependencies/android/README.md for Android Studio, NDK, library and symlink setup. Own supported official Mania data, exclude Netflix Games data, and install the GL shaders: the guide warns of black screens or crashes without them.
OpenLara is an older Android engine release
XProger/OpenLara is a classic Tomb Raider engine reimplementation. The official latest release lists OpenLara_android.zip with an Android update dated December 24, 2022. The release container was created in 2019, and newer source commits do not mean that the Android package is newly built.
Supply original Tomb Raider data from a copy you own and follow the package instructions. The project README links its own running WebGL demonstration and screenshots, but current Android compatibility has not been independently tested for this addition. The listing keeps that limitation visible instead of treating repository activity as device testing.
Original sources and what the dates mean
Sources are the official GitHub repositories VDavid003/sm64-port-android-base, Waterdish/Shipwright-Android, Waterdish/2ship2harkinian-Android, RSDKModding/Sonic-Mania-Decompilation, RSDKModding/RSDKv4-Decompilation, RSDKModding/RSDKv3-Decompilation and XProger/OpenLara, plus the RSDKv5 Android build guide linked by Mania. Each game page links its project repository. No aggregator listings were used as evidence.
Last update records the latest commit on each default branch; release tags and Android package dates are separate facts. Recompedia checked the documentation and releases, not full playthroughs on Android hardware. None of these entries includes ROMs or retail assets, and a user must obtain the required data legally.
Recompedia does not host or link to ROMs, BIOS files or game assets. Every project listed requires a copy of the original game owned by the player.
